Selling through our Auction House is also very simple: we professionally arrange the sale of your object(s) from start to finish, with every convenience for you as the seller. Read how it works!
1. Valuation
2. Collection & storage
We will discuss the expected yield, advise you on the stake amount and go over the submission conditions with you. Upon agreement, you leave the object with us and receive a collection slip. We treat each object with equal care and store your belongings in a secure and insured storage facility.
3. Allotment
Your object(s) are prepared for the auction: it is accurately described by our product specialists, professionally photographed in our studio and assigned a lot number. Through your online customer account, you can easily view the status of your auction object(s).
4. Publication & promotion
About four weeks prior to the auction, all auction objects with descriptions and multiple photos are published in the form of an ‘online catalog’ on our own website and via a number of major international auction platforms. From then on, the ‘prebid period’ opens and interested parties can start bidding. We actively promote the auction at home and abroad through invitations, newsletters and on social media to reach the right buyers. For large auctions, we also publish a beautiful printed catalog.
5. Viewing days
A few days prior to the auction we organize viewing days. Interested buyers are then welcome to view the objects that will be auctioned in our showroom. As a seller you are of course also welcome to see your objects beautifully presented and to taste the atmosphere of our auction house!
6. The auction
And then it’s time for the actual auction. The live auctions take place in our auction room and interested parties from all over the world can bid live online. The auctions are always by auction and the highest bid is hammered out by the auctioneer with the well-known « once, twice…sold! » As a seller, you are welcome in the auction room, but you can also follow the auction online. This way you know immediately what your objects have fetched.
7. Settlement
After the auction you will receive a summary of your sold lots and the amount we will pay you. We charge auction fees on the proceeds. In the unlikely event that your lot is not sold, you pay us nothing. We will discuss the possibilities of re-auctioning but you can also take your object(s) back.
