Yes, you need to register on our auction platform. You can do so here. Once your account has been validated, you can start bidding. If you are interested in specific items, you can set up a search alert. That way, you will always be the first to know about new listings.
What are the costs if I make the winning bid?
Sales are made in cash, by debit card, by bank transfer, or via an online payment method. A 29.5% premium is added (25% premium for coins and banknotes). Purchased lots will only be handed over or shipped after payment has been made. You can collect your purchase free of charge from one of our more than 150 locations or opt for home delivery (the costs of which depend on the lot won and the choice of carrier). How does a diamond auction at Goudwisselkantoor work?
Goudwisselkantoor organizes several diamond auctions each year, where interested buyers can bid on diamonds from the catalog. Each piece is checked in advance by specialists for authenticity and quality. You can view the items at your leisure in our online catalog and during the viewing days. The auctions take place in various forms: most auctions are live auctions. You are welcome to attend these auctions in the auction room, but you can also bid online. We also regularly hold online-only and timed online auctions, in which you can only bid online.
Are the diamonds real and certified?
Goudwisselkantoor exclusively auctions high-end natural diamonds. Each diamond is checked for authenticity and quality. Where possible, we provide a certificate from a recognized laboratory, such as GIA or HRD. Each lot clearly states whether a certificate is available.
How is the value of a diamond determined?
Our experts assess diamonds based on the well-known 4 Cs: Carat (weight), Color, Clarity, and Cut. The estimated value can be found in the product description.
Can I view the diamonds in advance?
That is certainly possible. A few days prior to the auction, we organize viewing days. You are welcome to come and view the diamonds that will be auctioned in our showroom in Klaaswaal. We like to keep these viewing days accessible: the atmosphere is relaxed and no appointment is necessary. Our experts will personally answer all your questions about the items, as well as about bidding and buying at the auction. The dates and times of the viewing days are listed in the auction information for the auction in question.
